Something changed. You noticed. Start there.
Hair looking thinner than it used to? Skin suddenly behaving differently? Scalp uncomfortable or flaky? Products or routines that used to work now doing absolutely nothing? Start with what you can see, feel, or simply cannot make work anymore. We can narrow what deserves attention before you overhaul everything.
You are the authority on what you are experiencing. You do not have to be the authority on what caused it.

What Brought You Here?
You do not need the right vocabulary. Start with what changed.
Something Changed
Your hair looks thinner. Your skin changed. Your scalp is uncomfortable. Your routine stopped working. You know something is different even if you cannot explain why.

Appointments are paused during my Greater Treasure Valley transition, but current hair support and future booking updates live in one place.
You Want to Know How I Think
I do not accept “that’s how it’s done” as enough evidence. I look, research, compare, pay attention to real-life experience, and change my mind when better information earns it.
How I Think
I don’t accept “that’s how it’s done” as enough evidence.
I look. I read. I research. I compare. I pay attention to what happens in real life. Then I decide what I think.
Sometimes the evidence is strong. Sometimes it is emerging. Sometimes an experience simply gives us a better question to ask. My experience is information. It isn’t a clinical trial.
I apply that standard to conventional advice and alternative-health claims alike. I do not need either camp to be automatically right.
Friction → Pattern → Mechanics → Next Move
Start with what feels wrong, difficult, too much, too little or simply different. Narrow the repeating pattern. Look at the mechanics and context underneath it. Then change the thing that actually deserves changing.
Beauty is often the first clue. It isn’t always the whole story.
Read by Question, Not by Rabbit Hole
Some questions need a practical cosmetic answer. Some need better science context. Some need a wider whole-person question. Sometimes the useful answer is simply knowing which kind of question you are actually asking.
Skin feels rough, dull or overworked?
Stronger exfoliation is not better exfoliation. Learn how method, strength and frequency change the answer. Read the exfoliation guide.
Hearing that lifestyle “rewrites your DNA”?
Your DNA is not destiny, but lifestyle does not rewrite your genes either. See what gene expression actually means.
Seeing oxidative stress used to explain everything?
Oxidative stress matters. It is also one of the most over-stretched ideas in wellness marketing. Separate the biology from the leap.
Curious about inside-out collagen support?
TrueScience Liquid Collagen is built around three jobs: Activate → Replenish → Maintain. See the mechanism, supported claims and evidence context.
Products Don’t Get a Free Pass Because I Sell Them
I do sell and recommend selected products. That does not mean every problem needs another bottle. Sometimes the useful move is technique, simplification, time, a different question, or deciding not to buy anything yet.
When a product does belong in the conversation, I want to know what it is supposed to do, what evidence supports that claim, how it fits the person in front of me, and whether it is actually solving a problem worth solving.
The product follows the problem. The problem does not get invented to sell the product.
When Lisa Proctor, LLC can earn compensation from a recommendation, that relationship is disclosed beside the recommendation.
From the Blog
Questions I keep pulling apart. Things I’ve changed my mind about. Beauty, wellness, lived experience and research worth understanding—without turning every interesting possibility into a miracle.
Still Not Sure Where to Start?
