Wellness Practitioner Disclosure for the State of Michigan

As a Health and Wellness Coach, I am not a licensed healthcare professional. I am not a licensed medical physician and do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe remedies for any medical conditions. The services I provide, whether in person, by mail, online, or by phone, are complementary and alternative health care services intended solely for the maintenance and enhancement of general well-being.

Scope of Practice:

Under Michigan law, I am prohibited from performing certain medical activities, including but not limited to:

• Performing surgery or any invasive procedures
• Administering or prescribing X-ray radiation
• Prescribing prescription drugs or controlled substances
• Using general or spinal anesthetics
• Administering ionizing radioactive substances
• Using laser devices that puncture the skin
• Performing enemas/colonics unless board certified
• Practicing midwifery
• Practicing psychotherapy or mental health counseling
• Performing spinal manipulation
• Practicing optometry
• Directly administering medical protocols to pregnant women or individuals with cancer
• Practicing dentistry
• Setting fractures
• Practicing massage therapy
• Providing conventional medical disease diagnoses
• Recommending the discontinuation of a course of care prescribed by a licensed healthcare professional

Special Considerations:

• I do not provide services to pregnant women.
• I am prohibited from treating children under two years of age. To treat a child between the ages of 2 and 8, I require a written, signed consent from the child’s parent or legal guardian.

Services Provided:

I offer holistic health coaching, which includes personalized approaches to nutrition, lifestyle, and overall wellness. Please note that I do not offer psychotherapy or mental health counseling services.

Qualifications and Experience:

• I hold a Certificate in Restorative Nursing.
• I have completed a Certified Health and Fitness Life Coaching program through an accredited online certification program.
• I have over 15 years of experience in the health and wellness industry, working with clients from diverse backgrounds.

I strongly encourage all clients to discuss any recommendations or services I provide with your Primary Care Physician, Obstetrician, Gynecologist, Oncologist, Cardiologist, Pediatrician, or any other Board-Certified Physician responsible for your healthcare.
